	Welcome to Hollingworth Juniors & Old Boys Football & Basketball Club.

	We are now into our 21st season since the club formed in 1988. Currently we have 10 junior boys football teams, 3 senior football teams and 5 basketball teams. Each team has dedicated qualified coaches and managers whose main function is to teach youngsters sport in a fun, friendly and safe environment. As Chairman of the club it is my hope and belief that the Club will continue to develop over the seasons to come. 	Development Club Status Achieved Hollingworth Juniors & Old Boys have recently been awarded the prestigious Charter Standard Development Club Status by the Football Association and Cheshire County FA. The award is the second highest accolade a Club can achieve, gaining recognition for their high standards and Hard Work around Coach & Player Development, Child Protection, and Administration. As part of the award the Club have made significant steps forward, and have agreed to providing provision over the next 3 years for: New Playing opportunities/Teams. The creation of a new Soccer School aimed at 4-7 Year Olds, offering a friendly and enjoyable to learn and play the National Game. Girls & Women’s Football provision. Better links with local Primary & Secondary Schools. A commitment to assist and Develop expertise at the Club including Coach Development. Create new opportunities for Young Players other than Playing including Coaching opportunities and Refereeing. A commitment to pursue a permanent base and facilities for one of the Biggest Clubs in Greater Manchester. Club Chairman Stuart McNee was delighted with the award, and said ‘The award is a fantastic achievement for everyone at the Club, and is much deserved for all the Hard work done by so many people. Hopefully this will be a significant step towards gaining our own Facilities and Clubhouse, which has been a long term ambition of the Football Club’.

	Wanted Players for this season's Under 7'S Team, that is boys & girls in school year 2. Training is at Longdendale Community Language College, Hollingworth on a Wednesday 6-7pm. Just come along. We are also looking for a Coach/Volunteer to help run this age group. Anyone who is interested can turn up at the session and speak to any of the coaches on the day.
