General Matters

Many of our U8's have been with us for sometime now, although this season has seen new players arriving at each session.

The boys are continuing to compete in the East Manchester Junior Football League at Curzon Ashton but match day has changed to a saturday. 

Kick off is at 12:45pm so i would really appreciate it if we could meet there at 12:15pm.

At this age the leagues are non-competitve so there are no league tables produced and we will refrain from publicising actual score lines; however, weekly match reports will be provided on the website highlighting key aspects of each game.

Fixtures can be found on the East Manchester Junior Football League website.  We play in Division 4.

Training takes place at Longdendale Community College (gym) on Thursday evenings, 7pm-8pm.  We now have a close relationship with Peak Active Sports (P.A.S) and FA  level 2 coach ben who recently coached in the USA  will be assisting coaching sessions with our own personal FA qualified coaches. giving a wider  range of input to our training sessions .

Welcome back!!!!!
Thanks to all players and families who have continued to be a part of Hollingworth Juniors.
We are definately growing stronger as a team and pre-season training has certainly proven worth while as our passing and possesion has improved greatly on last year. The game against Marple didnt end as we would have hoped, but i am confident we are going to settle in well and keep trying hard. Keep up the good work boys i was very proud of you all.
As of now i am going to be making team selections at the training session on the thursday prior to the game. If you do not attend training then it is unlikely you will be picked for the team that weekend. If non attendance is unavoidable then just give me a quick call or text on 07411725114.
As the U'8s side is growing bigger we now have 23 players. We will only be taking 16 players(inc.subs.) to play on saturdays. We have decided the fairest way is to operate a rotational system at this age.
However if you are not playing you are more than welcome to come and show your support. You may even get to play if we have unforseen absentees, so come in your kits just in case!!!!!
So i hope to see you ALL on thursdays........
